Going from an AH GLD112 through Dante card. Do I need to convert the signal from Ethernet to USB or will it work going straight Ethernet into the iMac?
Dante is a beautiful thing. In order to be successful you will need two pieces of software running on the Mac:
1. You need the Dante Controller (free) to do your routing which will determine which channels are coming into the Mac.
2. You need the Dante Virtual Sound Card ($29 download). With the Virtual Sound Card running, it will show up as one of the devices you can select in the Input Devices drop down menu on Sound Caster.
You should connect your console by ethernet to the Wi-Fi router you intend to use with Audiofusion. Connect the MAc to the same Wi-Fi router by ethernet and everything will just find each other. No need to convert from ethernet to USB. Feel free to email me directly at email@example.com if you have any other questions as you get set up. Thanks, Brandon
PreSonus 24.4.2 -> firewire to iMac -> iMac to Router.... We run ProPresenter & Qmix off the same iMac. Will your app interfere with that or do you recommend a separate designated computer?Audiofusion responded on 08/13/2018 Next question
How does the sound quality and overall volume headroom compare to a PSM300 or a hardwired solution to a good headphone amp?Audiofusion responded on 08/14/2018
