My band is just starting out and have decided that wireless IEM's are best for our needs. This software seems perfect for what we want, but I was wondering - two of our members have android phones. How long do you think it will be before you maybe release an android version of the performer app? I'd also like to know whether the software is a one-time purchase or a subscription-type deal?
What is the name of your new band? I'd love to check out your stuff.
Audiofusion is definitely going to be the way to go. We are still 3 to 4 months away from starting our beta testing of the PC/Android versions. We are just launching the Mac/iOS versions in the next few days.
But, for those members of your band on Android, you can find a used iPhone 6 for under $200 these days. In fact, ask around to some of your friends and family and i bet someone has an iPhone 6 sitting in a drawer somewhere. You don't even need a sim card; just Wi-Fi. It would still be a fraction of the cost of wireless body packs or personal monitor mixing boxes. Send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and let me know about your set-up, do you bring your own mixer or audio interface?, how many band members?
Brandon - do you have anyone testing with iPhone 8’s that have experienced any advantages with the 2x2 MU-MIMO capabilities vs. the iPhone 6’s and 7’s? I know this is also router MU-MIMO dependent, but in theory it seems this would be the way to go working with audio streaming. We are currently testing with an Apple AirPort Extreme on the AC band and mainly iPhone 6’s because of the headphone jack. So far, when the router is placed in close proximity, we have no issues with up to 4 users and an iPad Pro running director, but we are hoping to use this with as many as 8 users at some point.Audiofusion responded on 07/21/2018 Next question
