Q

What current digital mixers are compatible with the Soundcaster software? Thanks!

Audiofusion responded on 02/02/2018
A

Audiofusion is compatible with any digital mixer or audio interface that can send out full audio from each channel. USB, firewire, Dante, etc. Some Digital mixers have only 2 channel out for recording through an 'A' type USB connector. Your mixer needs a 'B' type USB connector to get full multi track audio. Audiofusion will recognize any audio source connected to the computer just like a DAW.

Q

I have an analog mixer that provides 6 channels for stage monitors (no USB or digital out). Would this work if I have six audio inputs available on the PC?

Audiofusion responded on 01/31/2018
A

Hi Bill,
Here at launch the software will only be available on Mac and iOS devices. You will need some way to get the audio into the computer in a way it will recognize as an audio source. USB FireWire, Audio Interface, etc. The audio must be recognized as a single audio source. Our software sees the audio source just like any DAW would see it.

Hi Andre,
We recommend iPhone 6 or newer but iPhone 5 will work.
We will let you know as soon as the apps are available for download.
Thanks!

Q

Is the signal delayed through your system?

Audiofusion responded on 01/27/2018
A

Our part of the system, from the laptop to the Wi-Fi router to the iPhone, adds very little delay. Some delay is also added by the digital mixer or audio interface from which the laptop receives the instrument signals. You can get your total system latency under 10 ms.

Q

Two Questions:
1) Does your system require a separate dedicated router?
2) What is the maximum number of channels I can broadcast with your software?

Audiofusion responded on 01/25/2018
A

We do recommend using a separate, dedicated router to run Audio Fusion. Preferably a dual band router on the 5GHz band using the latest 802.11AC.
SoundCaster our main program for the McaBook will automatically detect all the channels coming from any digital source you connect to the computer. You can select which channels to include. We may initially limit the channel count at launch on the Performer app the musician's use to receive the audio but ultimately there will be no limit.

Q

how can conect to my digital audio system

Audiofusion responded on 01/24/2018
A

Our software will recognize audio from any digital source connected to your computer just like any DAW. We connect directly to our digital mixer by USB but you could also use an Audio Interface.
Thanks,
Brandon
