Q

I have a Presonus 24.4.4 connected to a PC for video recording, but could be convinced to switch to a Mac. Stage would want in-ears., but a bigger selling feature would be a broadcast of he hearing assistance program. We currently do a mix for an FM transmitter, but the spectrum is crowded. When is a cheap 10 person hearing assistance license coming?

Hello Gord,
Do you really only need to connect 10 users for listening assist? Our first product will cost $100 per connection so it may not be ideal for your set-up. We would be willing, however, to get you started with the beta version to see if the system will work for your purposes.
I'll send you an email with the agreement. reply and let me know if you want to try it.

Q

I noticed that the system requirements for SoundCaster is a Macbook Pro. Would the app also work on an iMac or Mac mini?

A

Yes. We should probably be more clear about that. We have testers running it on both iMac and Mac mini.
As long as you can run Mac OS 10.12 or newer.

Q

Hello is it possible to connect it to a makcie dl 32 and how dos it work?

Is the app also for android availible.

Hi!,
Yes!. Audiofusion is a great solution to use with the Mackie DL32. Simply connect the USB (Computer) out to a Mac. SoundCaster will automatically recognize all 32 channels available from the mixer. Pick any 16 of the 32 to include in the mix and SoundCaster will broadcast them over Wi-Fi to the Performer app each musician uses on their phone to both hear and control their own mix. Right now the Performer app is only available for iOS devices but we hope to have an android version out in the next 3 or 4 months. In the meantime, if you are looking for a permanent solution you could pick up a used iPhone 6 for under $200 these days. You only need the Wi-Fi function so the phone would not even need a cell phone plan.
Send me an email at leafblad@audiofusionsystems.com if you would like to try our beta version.
Thanks,
Brandon

Q

Is it possible to get sound caster to recognise audio from the DAW output of individual tracks so one can use it in a smaller studio without a mixer?

Audiofusion responded on 05/13/2018
A

Hi Theo,
If you check out posts from Christian Luper in the audiofusion beta testers group on facebook; he has tested some third party software such as loopback to get SoundCaster to recognize another DAW as an audio input device. We have not done enough testing on these other software to have any recommendations.
Maybe just post a question on the facebook group and see what kind of ideas they suggest.
